Long Island Retro Gaming Expo 2025

Long Island Retro Gaming Expo 2025 | August 8th & 9th

On August 8th through the 10th this year, Long Island Retro Gaming Expo celebrated its 10th event! I only attended once previously, back in 2019, so I figured, why not visit the expo once more!

There were tons of video games for sale, but I ended up walking away with a PlayStation Vita, a network adapter for the PS2, and a PS2 memory card. I've wanted a Vita forever, and this seemed like a good time to grab one. I did immediately mod it, and I used the new PS2 accessories I grabbed to mod that as well.

It's always a joy to wander around and see so many cool little oddities of gaming. There were some amazing things here.

There were also hundreds of arcade games, consoles for free play, homebrew games, and seeing the museum that they had was nothing short of amazing. The NES turned 40 this year, and they had a great little hall dedicated to how it was the console that changed it all. There was also celebrations of Windows95 turning 30, amongst so much more.

I can't wait to do it again next year.
