Cheem @ MGRFest [July 2025]

On July 26th, 2025, I found myself at übergeek in Riverhead, NY, for MGRFest, put on by Moon Groove Records. It was an amazing Punk/Metal festival that went on all day! I had such a blast and found some new bands to throw into my rotation! I also bought way too much merch from everyone.

Cheem was the reason I attended MGRFest and how I even heard about it in the first place. I first saw Cheem back in May while they were on tour, and they've become one of my favorite bands. I knew I had to see them once again, and I owed the lead singer, Sam, a drink. Somehow, I didn't get a chance to get them one despite being at a brewery, but I'll make sure it happens. They played their latest track, Pivot, for the first time, and it was such a treat seeing them.
